Enhanced Hydrological Simulations in Paddy-Dominated Watersheds Using the Hourly SWAT-MODFLOW-PADDY Modeling Approach

چکیده

Accurate hydrological simulations are crucial for managing water resources and promoting sustainable agriculture in submerged paddy agricultural watersheds. The SWAT-MODFLOW, which couples the Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) Modular Groundwater Flow (MODFLOW) model, is a widely used tool hydrologic that consider surface groundwater (SW-GW) interactions. However, it falls short of effectively simulating processes rice field areas. To address this, we developed hourly SWAT-MODFLOW-PADDY enables integrated represents responses fields to high-resolution rainfall data. Our findings demonstrated model could dynamically simulate soil moisture runoff patterns fields. Notably, showed enhanced performance throughout entire period flow watershed, with an average coefficient determination (R2) 0.75, Nash Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) 0.76, percent bias (PBIAS) 13.22 compared original (R2 = 0.62, NSE 0.70, PBIAS 48.21). model’s predicting quality was improved, highlighted significant impact complex mechanisms within on spatial distribution recharge stream volumes exchanged through SW-GW Given these promising results, be valuable resource paddy-dominated watersheds across various climates regions.

Classification of Paddy Varities using Image processing

This paper presents the classification method of various paddy varieties as per the rice processing requirement. In first phase four morphological features of the individual as well as group's average features of paddy were extracted using image processing. Out of these four features only two features (minor axis and area) are providing sufficient information to classify the paddy as per the re...

Quantifying hydrological effects of crop diversification in Northern Iran paddy fields

There are human and animal health concerns related to drainage systems because nutrients, especially nitrogen and phosphorus, can contaminate water supplies. A field study was conducted on consolidated paddy fields of Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University, Northern Iran (36.3°N, 53.04°E), to determine the effect of subsurface drain depth and spacing on nitrogen (N) and pho...

Paddy Weed Leaf Classification Using Neuro-fuzzysystem

The productivity of paddy rice in Malaysia has improved as the technology advances. However, several concerns need to be considered to maintain the productivity. The growth of paddy weeds in the fields is one of the concerns that need to be taken care of as it resulted to the decrease of the paddy yield. This paper presents an integrated method for classifying paddy weeds through the shape of t...

Damaged Paddy Leaf Detection Using Image Processing

In an agriculture field paddy is one of the major staple foods in the Asian countries like China, India, Indonesia, and Bangladesh etc. But paddy disease likes a Blast; Bacterial Leaf Blight; Rice tungro etc. stops the growth of the paddy trees. If the diseases are not detected at an early possible stage then there is a decrease in the production of paddy. In this paper a noble methodology i.e....
